Teacher Training 2025
Ancient wisdom, modern science, lifelong yogis
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Our Mission: to facilitate an educational and experiential program, within a supportive community, that bridges the ancient roots of yoga with modern science to create yoga instructors capable of teaching a class and living life with confidence and authenticity.
When: January 10th through May 4th 2025
2nd & 4th weekend of each month
Friday 6p-9p Saturday 8-5, Sunday 8-4 & the 3rd Sunday 12:30p-5:30p
This training is for individuals wanting to deepen their personal understanding of yoga as much as it is for those wishing to translate that knowledge and experience into teaching classes. Our program has an Eastern body meets Western mind approach. We deeply honor the tradition of yoga and stand in gratitude for the richness brought to us by the teachers and lineages that have come before us. We marry these traditional practices with the gifts of modern science to better understand ourselves, our bodies and why we do what we do in yoga. We learn the foundations of neuroscience, the effects of trauma, how yoga and breathwork can help and how we as yoga instructors can create safe containers for ourselves and our students to develop a life-long practice for well-being. Our yoga teacher training stands out with this blend of yoga’s ancient roots alongside cutting-edge scientific research on the body, the brain and the breath.
The Yoga Bar team has two main goals for the participants of this training. The first is to focus on always being a student and the second is to cultivate the skills and confidence required to teach a well-designed yoga class that feels authentic to the teacher and fitting for their students. Our team has crafted our very own class sequence for you to learn and will provide you with the foundations required to design your own. You can expect plenty of practice-teaching with hours of hands-on learning about anatomy, physiology and yoga asana (postures). Study philosophy and yoga history through practices and lectures on the full 8-limb-path of yoga in a way that is easy to integrate regardless of religion or background. Learn about breath, mindfulness and meditation, mantra, the business of yoga and so much more. This yoga training’s educational and experiential blend will provide you with resources and memories for life on and off the mat.
